I stayed at the Aparthotel Adagio Frankfurt City Messe for one night in September 2025. The price without breakfast was around 80€, but this can vary significantly depending on whether there is an event or exhibition nearby. I booked a studio on a higher floor with a skyline view. The studio apartment was a bit smaller due to being a corner room, but it is quieter as it is not located on the main corridor.
Location
The Aparthotel Adagio Frankfurt City Messe is very centrally located. You can reach the airport within 20-25 minutes by public transport and the central railway station within 10 minutes. The tram stop is located just in front of the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of the exhibition hall (Messe) and the Festhalle. This makes it ideal if you are visiting an exhibition or a concert, as the hotel is within walking distance. The hotel is also a great option if you prefer to stay in a nice area not too far from the train station. The location is much better and quieter, compared to the area around the railway station.
Check-In/Out and staff
The check-in procedure was quick and friendly. The reception is located on the fourth floor of the building. If the door on the ground floor is not open, you can ring a bell and it will be opened. At the reception, my room key was ready, and I just had to sign the registration with my details and pay for my stay. The receptionist asked if I needed any special invoice (for the company or private) and explained some basics about the Wi-Fi and facilities.
The check-out was quick and friendly, and I received my bill digitally via email. It is also possible to receive a printed invoice upon checkout. The staff is always pleasant and will be happy to help you with any questions or concerns. The only improvement that could be implemented is for staff members to ask customers upon checkout how their stay was and if they encountered any issues during their stay. This would clearly enhance the overall experience.
Room and Wi-Fi
I booked the studio for two people on a higher floor (corner room) with a great skyline view. While being on a higher floor, you could not hear much from outside, and the windows had good sound insulation, so you could not hear much from outside. The benefit of booking a corner room is that it is much quieter. The Aparthotel Adagio Frankfurt City Messe is fully furnished. You will find a kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, fridge and an induction stove. Pots, pans, cups, mugs, bowls, glasses, cutlery, and knives are all provided, which makes it ideal if you plan to stay longer. There is a coffee machine and a kettle. However, tea and coffee will only be provided in rooms if you stay longer than four nights. The same applies to cleaning. Your apartment will only be cleaned and serviced after 7 days, otherwise, you can request cleaning for a fee. The air conditioning worked well, and you can regulate the room temperature to your preference.
The bed is only a foldaway bed. For a shorter duration, this should not be a problem. However, if you stay longer, the harder sofa bed might not be ideal. The pillows were very soft, and I could manage to get some rest. You will find different pillows and a wardrobe (with an iron and an ironing board), which gives you enough space for your clothes.
The apartment design feels modern, and everything is clean and well-maintained, except for some dust in some corners. This could be improved, for example, with a deep cleaning once a month. The Wi-Fi speed was around 50 Mb/s and worked without any issues. The signal was excellent, even on higher floors. This is important if you travel for business purposes and rely on a solid internet connection. Another benefit for security is that the internet is secured with a password, which is given to you by the receptionist upon check-in.
Bathroom and Amenities
The bathroom is spacious and separated by a door. It offers a nice walk-in shower with good water pressure. There are two sets of towels, a tissue box, a towel radiator, and a hairdryer. There is one dispenser containing the hand wash and another one at the shower offering shower gel and hair wash, all in the same bottle. Overall, the bathroom is very modern and spacious.
Rating 8/10
The Aparthotel Adagio Frankfurt City Messe is an excellent choice if you are looking for an alternative to a hotel room and you prefer more space and additional amenities. The apartment provides everything that you need for cooking, like pots, pans, and cutlery. The apartment hotel is in an upscale neighbourhood, and you can reach the central train station within 10 minutes. This makes it ideal if you are staying in Frankfurt for a short time and continuing by train. The staff is very friendly and always there to help. Overall, the apartment hotel has everything that you will need for an enjoyable stay, whether one night or longer. We recommend comparing prices before booking, as rates often can vary a lot due to events.
